WARNING: LONG, UNINTERESTING, MUNDANE AND BORING ENTRY AHEAD
ADVISE: DONT READ IT.
today we celebrated yiling's birthday celebration.
and a conversation between my uncle and me sort of pissed me off. okay, at first i wasnt so offensive. but the more i think, the more i feel offended.
him: so you sure you're going nus?
me: yepp.
him: you dont wan to join your buddy (referring to my cousin) at ntu? you'll regret. (referring to real estate)
me: dont like this say lah.
him: ya what. blah blah (i wasnt listening to what he blabbered)
me: no, i wont regret.
well, i just said that naturally, not knowing if i'll regret. but i hope i wont. and i'm still going to do my best to get the best out of it. okay, it's quite true that real estate is a dumping ground in nus but i believe that a dumping ground still has its usefulness isnt it? if not, logically, why would nus even have such a course which has been around for years? even for decades, i think. yupp, i was offered environmental engineering in ntu which i heard that only partial AABB can get into the course for the first round of acceptance (~1may-2jun) but it doesnt guarantee that i'll not regret either isnt it. both courses dont guarantee that i wont regret, so what's more to say? moreover, i dont even think i'll want to end up in an engineering job ultimately, so what's the use of four years in engineering? whereas for real estate, well, there may be a possibility that i might want to end up there. alot of ppl say engineers can also go into real estate and many other jobs. but ppl with a real estate degree can end up in those jobs as well other than engineering specified jobs. the degree is not useless. no one goes into university and coming out with a useless degree. if not, why do ppl go university? is just like studying geography like what song sihui is going to study in university. i think there're tons of ppl going what the hell do you wanna study geog? be a geog teacher? or smth. haha but it's her passion. and i think it's really cool to study smth you're passionate abt. and when she graduates, there'll still be jobs around for her cos she has the degree. even nus said (in a report) that we're not "trapped" by the course that we've chosen in university. going for a degree is basically training your aptitude and ability to analyse and stuff. so ppl, just go away and stop telling me that real estate is bad. dont tell me that i'll regret choosing real estate over environmental engineering. cos you also dont know whether i'll regret taking up environmental engineering or not. go away and stop asking why i chose real estate instead of other hotter courses such as accountancy and so on, given that i can choose schools instead of the other way round. sigh, i have enough of that. oh ya, i also hate ppl thinking that i'm lousy because of my course or school. stupid ego problem. that's why choosing real estate was a problem because of my stupid ego.
anways, other than that, i'd say today is rather eventful. my tuition girl's mother asked me to tuition her sec 1 younger brother as well. wahahaaa~ that goes to show that i'm good. if not why will she ask me to teach her younger brother as well? and besides, my tuition girl also recommended me to her classmate once but i rejected the offer. lol. cos too low paying and time consuming. so i'm thinking whether to teach her younger brother also. i really wanna help but i dont want the pay to be low. my current tuition girl's rates are really really low. first student, what to do.
went to watch the chronicles of narnia prince caspian. yay! i love it. like it alot xD love it love it! watched the chronicles of narnia the witch, the lion and the closet the other time and love it too so decided to watch its second movie. didnt disappoint me even though i was having some reserves bout how good it'll be after sun yu's comment on the movie, saying that it's boring and only a little add on to it. nah, i beg to differ. i dont think so and i like it alot. the movie lasted for 2++hrs close to 3hrs.
hahaha and we went to raffles hotel to collect my sister's birthday cake. yummy fruit cake my aunt always orders for us cos she works there. even the cake's cream is like so yummy. as my cousin says, "it's fresh cream" and when we returned home, everyone has already arrived and have started their dinner without the owners! haha but it's alright. they had a great meal anyway. oh ya, and my cousin is going to run a midnight marathon which btw has started already since the time now is 0230. wow, i mean he loves running, so that's cool. i dont like to pant. haha typical girl. but i dont mind perspiring (i'm weird just as i hate all kinds of bean-made-products (eg beancurd, soy bean, tou gua, tou kee, etc) but i love smelly tofu.) actually i like it even more when i perspire. i feel healthier cos i hardly perspire lah. usually one of the last to perspire when i'm in a group.
had the usual fruit cake with loads of strawberries, raspberry, grapes and mango. it's still nice despite eating it for our last few birthdays (in a repetative cycle: yiting, yiling, me, yiting, yiling, me, ...) i'm still not sick of it.
bought a second birthday gift for yiling cos i forgotten that she'd treat the clothes i bought for her at fox sale as her birthday present. anyway, as expected and hoped for, she likes it a lot. that's good.
okay i'm much happier now. thinking of my cute little sis.
i would dance my life away

like my father says, university is just a form of training. so he asks me to do what i like best.
however, he doesn't seem to have a good opinion on business course...which i rather not say why.
because business course is a general degree and a business man doesnt need someone who studies business to teach him how to manage his business? hai, whatever i dont feel like arguing anymore. tired of this man
i've been saying that. if that's my dad thinks, i wont mind repeating it. haha.
