it's time to update my blog hor. haha i have totally forgotten the existence of this blog alr. the whole of dec09 was really busy with treks and stuff. first treks, den misc stuff, den bidding, and the holiday's gone.
start of school, slowly adjust to school life once again. and i feel the workload really quickly this sem. it's like sweeping me off my feet. haha well, that's probably cos i dont have the discipline to really just sit down and do my work. i keep youtubing. jokwon-gain are so cute. control yihui. stop watching them.
anyway my purpose of this blog is to say that i've just been on a short but wonderful date. not only do i not have to pay for my lunch (yayy!), i really feel very happy after coming back. hehehe. my dad came and brought me out of school for lunch. den later he brought some biscuits and chicken essence with him ♥♥♥ i'm really really very very happy~ i feel so on cloud 9. hahaha~~~
i truly believe it's the simplest things in life brings happiness. there are instances whereby expensive stuff are bought yet i dont really appreciate them as much. i understand the thoughts behind them, yet, ultimately the value of the object doesnt equate proportionately to the appreciation level i have in me. and similarly, it's the simplest and smallest stuff that really makes me happy. it's just like celebrating birthdays. for me, i'm just happy with the way i'm celebrating my bday yearly. i'm going to continue doing with what i'm doing this year for my 21st. it doesnt mean that i dread my 21st. i really think age is just a number. the younger me, say 13years old, would have thought "waaah, 20? that's really old" but now, looking back, i dont feel 7 years older than when i'm 13. i think it's the same. when i turn 30, maybe i'll feel richer but perhaps, i'll still be me at the end of the day.
i'm happy with who i am today. i'm happy with what i'm doing today. i'm happy with what i have today.
even if i turn back time, i believe i'll still be what i am today. i havent really regretted with the route that i'd chosen so far. even though there were some depressing times at the cross roads, even if i turn back time, i'll still choose what i had chosen in the past.
oh anyways, my youngest sis got into string ensemble. that's so cool! and it's a cca that she has chosen herself. so proud of her. and she chose a really cool instrument - viola. haha i think it's cool. amongst violin, viola, cello and double-bass, i think viola and cello are the cooler ones. double-bass also quite cool. but my sis most prob isn't tall enough to reach the position where the players place their fingers. LOL! even for the viola, she has to play a shorter viola that's 14.5". and she and another viola member are on the priority list for getting the 14.5". another two members arent on the priority list though 14.5" would be more comfy for them. that's cos they have longer arms (and obviously taller, height-wise). i think she has to get her own instrument, but i'm feeling excited for her. yay it'll be the first time my parents are buying a proper instrument, recorders are not counted. actually they should buy a piano for my little sister too. she's grade 4 alr and yet there's still no piano at home. but piano is much costlier and i've no idea where it shall be placed if we were to buy one.
i think it's good my sister is starting to have opinions of her own. it's important. at least she doesnt get bullied and does what she thinks is right. and i also think my little sis is getting cooler. she doesnt want to join the dance ensemble in school cos it isnt the dance style that she likes. she wants to get into the string ensemble, even though it isn't getting Gold for SYF (being really realistic, i would rather she gets into TKGS symphony band). string was her first choice, followed by band, den dance. well, i think she has made a good choice cos she's choosing according to what she likes, not what we want. but so i'm cool with it :) yayy! way to go my love!
